Dra. Roberta is a certified specialist in Geriatric medicine with a focus on 'healthy ageing' (envejecimiento activo) and 'longevity', with more than 15 years of professional experience.
Dra. Roberta graduated as a Doctor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Malta in 2004. She furthered her studies in internal medicine and in 2010 she became a member of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom. She later initiated her research as a PhD student at the Gerontology department at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Ghent University in Belgium where she investigated risk factors associated with cognitive deterioration and frailty in older adults. In parallel she obtained her specialization in Geriatrics. In September 2022 she successfully completed her PhD and her extensive work has been published in several peer reviewed international journals.
